Pine Mountain Club offers delightful full-time living and fun-filled, relaxing weekends. Located in a spectacular mountain setting just 90 miles north of Los Angeles, it is surrounded by 1.7 million acres of old forests that shelter an array of flora and fauna, including the rare California Condor, through it's ever-changing four seasons. We invite you to share it with us. PMC's recreation opportunities abound, ranging from a PGA-rated 9-hole golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts and equestrian center to a clubhouse with a lounge providing live entertainment, outdoor concerts during the summer and an upscale restaurant. In the center of town, a village center with retail stores, restaurants, a park with a playground, a beautiful inn and a gazebo offers convenience in an Alpine setting. Special events -- such as the Lilac Festival, Oktoberfest, Run to the Pines Car Show and Wine in the Pines -- take place at various times during the year. Endless trails, abundant wildlife and clear skies make PMC a little slice of paradise. ______________________________________________ CC&Rs: LATEST NEWS
CC&Rs Balloting Response Update Four of the six months scheduled (April 15 to October 15) to collect the ballots for approving the amended CC&Rs have passed! As of August 16, 2010, the Inspector of Elections has had only 1,278 ballots returned from the 2,932 ballots mailed in the April mailing. Of the 1,278 ballots returned, 106 of those ballots remain unsigned. This translates to 1,172 ballots (40%) eligible to be counted when voting is completed. Our current CC&Rs require 55% of the 2,932 ballots that were mailed to be returned and marked “APPROVE” to pass the amended CC&Rs and avoid the expiration of CC&Rs as PMC’s primary Governing Document. That means 1,613 ballots must “approve” the amended CC&Rs. The Governing Documents Committee has estimated that we need at least 2,000 ballots to be returned to achieve the required number of approval votes. We are far short of our goal of 2,000 returned ballots. Over half of the PMC members have not yet voted! On August 12, the Inspector of Elections mailed more than 1,600 replacement ballots to those who have not voted. Time is running out! Ask your neighbors if they have voted. If not, impress upon them the urgency of our situation. On the 25th of August, volunteers started phoning those who have not voted to encourage them to vote. If you would like to volunteer to help with the phone calls, contact the Governing Documents Committee by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
