Quorum Met, New Directors Announced At Annual Meeting

The PMCPOA Annual Meeting of Members took place on June 19, 2010, and with quorum met, the election went forward and the new directors to the Board were announced. There were no bylaw changes this year.

The three winners of the three-year terms are as follows: Gary Biggerstaff with 751 votes, Bill Martin with 711 votes and Mike Joseph with 593 votes. Stephan Bates with 400 votes, Finn Myggen with 237 votes and Sigrid Insull-Lucking with 203 votes were not elected. Kim Wickers with 497 votes was elected to the one two-year term, beating Derek Edwards with 206 votes and Larry Shifflett with 193 votes. Chantal Blanchard received 84 votes but had withdrawn her candidacy prior to the election.

The number of eligible votes for the 2010 election was 2,819. Quorum was established at 705 votes, with 1,017 valid votes counted. The number of valid votes received was well over the 25 percent needed to establish quorum, and was called a “phenomenal” response by the Inspector of Elections.
