The Bears are Back in Force: Please, Do Not Feed Them!
This is an important reminder that it is essential you do not feed the bears. Remember, a fed bear is a dead bear! PMC is having a big bear problem right now because the local bears have been fed and no longer have any fear of humans. They are coming into town looking for human and pet food, have become habituated, and thus have become more aggressive. They are breaking into homes and confronting humans. Many of these bears will wind up getting shot.
Club rooms were maintained by the club at the Breakers Casino in Palm Beach until January 1932. At that time, the Members, wanting more privacy and their own docks, built a beautiful clubhouse and dock on the property where the Club sits today, in a most choice location along Lake Worth in the north end of Palm Beach. The Club has survived two World Wars and other national emergencies including the great Depression of the 1930's which saw the demise of many clubs nationwide as a result of financial hardship.
